The light is long lasting, bright as all hell. And the digital timer for battery life displays in hours minutes and seconds and is more useful than I could have imagined. I love it and highly recommend it to anyone. Not for people with no thumbs.
I like the design ad the light is very bright. The battery does drain down quickly on brightest setting but overall I really like it. I also have the Nitecore TM36. I love Nitecore products.
bwinkangHow is the brightest setting compared to the TM-6?
It seems that this is actually a 200 lm flashlight, with a momentary 1000-ish level. If so, I’ll stick to my actual 1000lm output tiny monster, that doesn’t have sharp corners and fast charges replaceable lithium batteries.
At least this drop is a legitimate $13 savings over “get it today” pricing elsewhere. 😛
The battery life seems to perform as advertised in my opinion. Solid feel. Charges easily. The only negative thing I noticed is that in significant humidity the little information screen fogs up a little (clears up quickly when back indoors).
As a mechanic, I carry a streamlight daily to light up stuff 60+ feet overhead. This light replaced that other one as an EDC the first time I used it. I really doubt it is 1000 lumens, but it has the throw and lumens to light up brackets 60' overhead in a warehouse sitting next to a flourescent light. To drown out the fluorescent that easily is a real feat. It is small enough that I forget all about it all the time. It has never accidentally fallen off my belt, and if I need to, I can drop it into a front pocket and it dissappears there too. I'll definitely be getting at least one more for each of my GHB's.
the non countersunk screws on the pocket clip abrade your pants
the pocket clip is attached to the flashlight with screws that are not countersunk......every time you use the pocket clip 2 screws are abrading the edge of your pocket. I called Nitecore they said this was the way this light is made
Very bright. I like the different lock out levels to keep it from accidentally getting turned on.
didn’t think I would use the lowest brightness level but it is great for looking at documents and maps.
They really cheaped out on the buttons.... they are loose, plastic, and feel poorly fit into the overall package. The UI is a little interesting, but once you know how it all functions, it's easy to work the lockout modes and such for a pocket light. The boxy form factor is an acquired taste... even though it has a deep carry style clip, the box shape makes it fit weird in a pocket, so ymmv on that!
It fits well with a "tiny carry" aesthetic if that's your thing.
