When it comes to European watchmaking, there are few towns as revered as Glashütte. It was the birthplace of watchmaking in Germany, after all, and today it’s home to a handful of the world’s most respected manufacturers. Among these is Nomos. Once a boutique operation of only a few employees, the company has grown to more than 100, and it’s no surprise why: Like its neighbors, Nomos produces its own movement in-house.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of six different models. This drop is limited to 10 units.
These six watches come with one of two movements, both of which are made in-house by Nomos. Both are also automatic, though Epsilon boasts the distinction of being the company’s first automatic movement, which earned Nomos an award when it was released in 2005. Both Zeta and Epsilon offer bidirectional winding, though Zeta offers the addition of a date feature. It’s therefore available with the Datum models only. In addition to their extremely thin design, both of these movements are noted for their three-quarter plate with perlage decoration, which ensures stability of movement.
