Seem like great pants, but way to big. I usually wear a M-L, ordered a L figuring I'd need to layer under them, but these are just way too big and long. I bought a M retail and they are almost too tight. A misslabling perhaps??
Best climbing pants!
I've had the fleece lined version of these for about 6 yrs and are my go-to ice climbing pant. When I saw the drop for these, I pounced. These are very breathable and shed water well. The Velcro waist adjustment is perfect and doesn't loosen up throughout the day. Even with a climbing harness and backpack on. I've worn these in mid-high teen temps w a midweight base layer while on long approaches and a day of cragging and only got chilled when standing around for a while.
OR stuff fits me perfectly. (xl for jackets and pants). I'm 6'2.5" with long legs and an athletic 195lbs. I usually have a hard time finding pants w a good length for me. Most are 32" and tend to ride up (esp' for climbing). These do not.
Great pants for all mountain activities.
I felt the size to be smaller than the usual size I get, especially on the waist. So I am working with OR directly to see if I can get a larger size exchange. And I have a bit bulkier thighs, and these were a bit tight on the thighs as well. Other than that they felt like great active pants with their stretch material. I would know more once I get larger replacement to actually try them in action!
Nice fit, love the stretch. Front pockets are a bit small. The boot cuff reinforcement is pretty stiff but not an issue for me since I wear them skiing. Might find that a bit cumbersome if using these for hiking. Overall would buy again and are my go to ski pants on dry/powder days. Would not use them in wet conditions since they are soft shell.
