Designed for folding fabric for patchwork, origami quilting, sewing and other piecework crafts, the Clover Fabric Folding Pen makes folding fabric a simpler task. Use this pen to make perfect folds without the use of an iron to press your fabric. To use the pen, follow the instructions and fill the pen with water with a couple drops of the Fabric Folding Pen Liquid.
To use use the fabric folding pen with paper piecing, simply cut your fabric at least 1/4" bigger than your shape on all sides, then center the paper piece in the middle of your fabric. Use the pen to draw a line along the edge you want to fold then fold the seam allowance over the paper piece. Continue to draw with the pen on each side of your shape and fold over the seam allowance until all sides of your paper piece is covered. Turn over your work so that the right side of the fabric is facing up and let it dry clear for a couple minutes. Then your paper-pieced fabric is ready to use for your next applique or quilt project.
The Bohin Temporary Glue Stick Pen works well with most fabrics, including delicate ones, to help you position templates, embroidery motifs, hems and more before sewing. This glue stick is ideal for gluing the seam allowances temporarily to the paper pieces so that the papers don't fall out when you stitch your paper-pieced fabrics together by hand. The glue is pink so you can see where you applied the glue and it dries clear.
