I joined this drop last time it was there and I got my two Metropolitan, but I never use them, they really disappointed me. And the ink is drying really easily in those pens, so I had problems with them. On the other hand, my Lamy Safari never dries and writes way smoother although it's fine... So I'm going with Lamy now.

YaryThat's so strange. These pens have actually mechanism against drying. My brother has 2 out of which he uses one only for signing things and it's never dry. And they are way better than Lamy as far as I hear from people over at reddit.

YaryKept my medium inked up and in storage while I used my fine as the daily driver. When I ran out of ink in the fine, popped open the medium and it was ready to write as if it was newly inked. Maybe something was wrong with the pens you got?

ZALHERA@zalhera Hi Zalhera. I live in Canada too and thinking of joining this drop. Since you mentioned you had participated a couple times with Massdrop, I have a question for you.
Did it arrive via USPS (United States Postal Service)? And whether there were brokerage fees etc....just want to get an idea coz buying from US can be a surprise sometimes. I once purchased a $50 item but ended needing to pay a $40 brokerage fee to UPS (brown van company).

DoramiyiIt's a lottery, really. Sometimes you get charged, sometimes you don't. They do it randomly. Also, I am not sure if USPS hands it off to Canada Post when it crosses the border, but USPS handles the package for the majority of its travel.

ZALHERAWell, that would be so strange that both of them were impacted by the same problem. I should maybe gave them another chance using others inks maybe. I may try with some Noodlers' ink I just got or with some J.Herbin. What's sure is that they are also always getting "dirty" nibs, with ink spreading on top of the nib, which isn't the case of all of my other (good) pens.

YaryNibcreep is present on stock ink you get with pens. Didn't happen with Pelikan Edelstein Amber.

YaryPen with fine nib and stock ink is used daily, other with Pelikan ink is used perhaps once a week if not less and there are no problems what so ever with drying.
