these are 14.50 on jetpens with free shipping when you spend 25 (and who gets out for less than 25 on jetpens anyway?). is a 1.25 a worthy savings considering the wait?
theeattreSo far, 233 people are saying yes. That being said, this is just the beginning, we will be listing more pens since you guys are an awesome community. The comments are amazing and people not familiar with fountain pens found the comments very useful.
theeattreAgreed, I picked up a golden Metropolitan last year for $14. According to Amazon, their lowest price was back in early summer of 2013 @ $13.12. So is this really worth the wait to save a few bucks? I mean, you could pick up a Chinese pen (Jinhao) for under $10 with very similar performance to this pen.
The Metropolitan is a nice pen for a sub $15 fountain pen (would be a no-brainer if they came in different nib sizes... even if B and F). However, it only comes in a medium nib. Even with a Japanese nib, I still can't stand how thick the lines were . I switched the nib out with an Extra Fine Pilot Penmenship and I'm now pretty satisfied with it.
