Another option would be to get a magnetic USB C kit and just plug something in once so that you don't have to fiddle with it too much. I have a Planck from the last batch (Earlier this summer) and I have had absolutely no issues with the port.
Butterbumps+1 on the magnetic adapters. You can buy them cheap on Amazon. I use them for my Lily58 Pro I built and its flawless. Easily connects and disconnects and rids the possibility of damaging the connector. Well worth paying an extra $10 bucks or so
ButterbumpsProblem was very much overblown/overstated, it was a problem affecting a small % of units. That being said, it should affect close to zero units in this latest batch as extra solder has been used to hold the port in an extra secure manner.
