Can anyone add any comparison thoughts (other than lighter switches) coming from having a Leopold, Realforce or HHKB (other Topres' basically)?
Thank you!

turbineseaplaneThese feel very close to original topres when I tested it out with my HHKB Pro2. But moved over to this as my daily drive due to programmability which was more suited for my needs and these are lighter which I prefer now over the 45g on the Pro2. Just wished the Plum84 is a HHKB layout rather than having to reprogram it

turbineseaplaneDepends on the fact, assembled or not, looking closer in detail.
Realforce, my number one for quality in build and material. My Leopold had been close, but i found the case (disassembled) at least one tier lower than Realforce. HHKB, i've had three, left is my most beloved JP, is just fine, good roadwarrior. RoyalKludge Clone, after some modding smooth like genuine Topre and for me the most pleasing Tock. The Plum, i like the layout for my gaming needs, 45 or 55g would be more pleasing for me.
If the Realforce price is considered to be fine, i do find the Leopold and HHKB overpriced. The RoyalKludge and Plum have a nice (better) bang for the buck for me, if you're willing to go with clones and even more after some tuning.
I wrote a bit here: https://www.massdrop.com/talk/963/don-t-shoot-me-i-m-only-the-piano-player Maybe some information that might be helpfull.
If you have another question, just let me know.
Edit: Have in mind, the 5.5u spacebar doesn't make it easy to go for different keycaps.

ViraTo me, the Leopold Topre board is extremely smooth, the keys feel thick, and the movement delivers a serious plokk on bottoming out. The Plum84 feels significantly lighter in key weight and movement and delivers less of a plokk, more of a plink, on bottoming. You also feel a tad of friction (or "scratchiness"). But I really like the Plum84 overall. It's very non-fatiguing, it's got its own satisfying movement, and the layout is super. I currently have both this and the Leopold hooked up to my home computer at the same time, and I find I use this one 60/40 over the Leopold (which I also really like).

MakamiYou always say good stuff. "RoyalKludge Clone, after some modding smooth like genuine Topre and for me the most pleasing Tock." "The Plum, I like the layout for my gaming needs, 45 or 55g would be more pleasing for me."
I agree. RK best clone Topre board, modded or not. I want the Plum just for pick up and go. Sadly 35g is too low. 55g or nothing!
