The whole point of testing switches is to see the when the switch activates the key press on your screen. If you can't plug this in I don't see a point. Pretty sure buying switches individually online would be cheaper too.

ch4os1337The switches are far more different in feel and sound than they are in actuation. This will let you get a good feeling for the flavor of the switches. Also, buying the switches individually would probably be cheaper, but you want them mounted to something and you want a key cap. And it wouldn't be a lot cheaper. The rarer switches are a lot more expensive, and the price of buying them individually is much, much higher than the bulk price.

ch4os1337Just take one cheap controller from some rubber dome keyboard, connect these switches from tester to it as you like, in any key-combination, and there you go, you have a full functional usb switch tester...
