So excited for this pedal!! Using it for vocal effects mixed through guitar pedals. Have been looking for precisely this box to send a feed to the sound guys when on stage. They usually hate guitar pedals into the desk, cant complain now! Plus I will have more control of the mix I want. PS Want more pedals!!!
StephenNewZealandStephenNewZealand,
We currently have three drops on Pigtronix pedals and we will soon have other pedals, from manufacturers coming soon. Our goal as always is to bring products to the community they want and we hope will be of interest to the community. Your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated and thank you for being a part of Massdrop.
I want to connect this to line level synths, run them through my guitar pedals and then into my daw. If I plug a line level synth into the 1/4th input, does the key master automatically adjust the signal to "instrument level" for use with guitar pedals? Then will it output back to line level or will I need to run it through a preamp? Submitted a similar question directly to pigtronix website but have yet to get a reply. thanks for your help Sean!
MacdudeYes it will send it back out line level, since the impedance matching is active, it detects the input level and maintains consistent signal level from point to point. You also have the BOOST option, if you wish to increase or decrease the gain on the signal as well. This function can be utilized on the input signal or output side of the signal.
I have zero interest in this pedal but I am super excited for future guitar pedals being on Massdrop at all. Please don't forget bass friendly pedals too!
If this thing were for use in php/mysql would this be like string sanitization to prevent sql injection?
Completely replace DI boxes and stuff like that?
Like this is some sort of miracle worker that takes my unbalanced signal, turns it balanced and runs it through my pedals, then back out as unbalanced? etc
WHERE WAS THIS 12 YEARS AGO WHEN I NEEDED IT???
I want :\
That is correct.
The functionality of this beast of a pedal really is limitless. The more you play with it and try various combinations of effects and sources, the more possibilities which you will find. I always wanted to add one to my board, just ran out of space.
Hey parkman47, hope I didn't sounded harsh was not my intention ;)
In this case you could even have needed two DI if your mic was low impedance > DI > hi impedance foot pedals > DI > low impedance input board, typically what this box offers indeed. The feature I find the more interesting is the foot control mixing of the two loops though. But then it says True Bypass loops, does the mains also provide some kind of buffer when going unbal/hi z?
