Here it is. I think Cold Steel took a few liberties here because it doesn't look quite the same, But it is bigger.

Spyderco has a lot of small knives - like the dragonfly, bug, manbug, grasshopper, ladybug, etc. that are going to be more useful than this offering for the same price or less

A pretty knife my daughter perhaps, but the blade seems too short. Going on a bit of a tangent, does anyone know why Drop hasn't listed any Spyderco knives in a long time? I got a handful of them here but haven't seen more since. Mostly I'd be interested in another Spyderco Blue Box, but haven't seen any Blue Boxes in a while. Maybe I'm a sucker for punishment, but the appeal of possibly getting an upgrade is a draw. I didn't get any upgrades on the last two Spyderco blue boxes, and last June's Bounty Box was an awful value for what I received. I would have thought that at least one would get a good deal on the prices since they were offloading a bunch of unsold items. As it was, the upgrades were minimal and most of the items were useless, and MD even listed some of the same items for lower prices shortly thereafter. Well, live and learn. At least with the Blue Box, there isn't the chance of getting random junk. Things seem different since MD changed it's name to Drop. I can't put my finger on what it is, but for whatever reason (maybe just fewer blue boxes), I've found fewer reasons to buy since then.

I think it is up to Spyderco being willing to do a deal. Kizer used to come up frequently and they don't anymore.

I have this knife from a gift so I can't review it but i would like to say that the flipper "broke" after a few openings (between 50 and 100 openings). Too bad I like the design a lot. But this is definitely NOT worth the cost.

What do you mean the flipper broke? The steel insert? That can be fixed and rike has a lifetime warranty I'm sure

I am not usually one to disparage something, but this is quite possibly the ugliest knife I have ever seen. It would be a little better if it wasn't so gaudy, but good lord....

Alas, I have lost my original little blue Rike Hummingbird. Boyscout campout, and it jumped out of my tent, at one point, or another. I'd been wearing it as functional jewelry, not really doing any heavy work, though. I believe I need a replacement. As a knife collector and user, these beauties fit in well with my M.O. and I'm gladly paying for another knife, as for the price, it can't be beat. If you are a serious knife collector/user, and find yourself picking up quality pieces in the $100+ range on occasion, these wee beasties are a steel.

1.5"? Seriously? I recently picked up a 2" bladed knife, nice titanium frame/scales, and it's about the bottom limit of what I consider useful:

Any smaller and it starts to feel almost doll-house size. The artistry in this Rike knife is wonderful and the price is very attractive. if only it had a 2" blade. Reluctantly passing...

I believe that's a Samior. The VG-10 damascus version has a model number of DT02, unsure if this version shares it. Been seeing the brand for half a year or so, mostly for miniature knives like that one.

I would really like this if it was a good sized knife. It's pretty, but I've seen longer toothpicks. Awaiting the knife sized one.
