You know... thanks in large part to Massdrop, and now Drop, total sold units of this knife is well on its way to 2000. Yes, 2000!! Amazing! And each time I look at the images of this knife as the newest wave of choices is presented by Drop, I find myself drawn to it, that is, until I remind myself what this knife may really look like in my hand as I review the Details. To say this knife is ‘tiny’ would be an understatement! My pinky finger is longer than this blade. As drawn as I get when I see this knife, or anything like it for that matter, I just do what I do and pass :(
Please note... There is no judgement meant towards those (approaching 2000 of you) who are the happy owners of this knife. I’m just venting on how much I wish this was more along the lines of a, say, 3”.., 3.25”.., 3.5” blade that I can at least fidget with. Just sayin’

AJAugustThere's something to be said for quality smaller knives, not everything needs a 3.5" blade. I bet this fidgets just fine.

I was about to order this knife, as from the pictures it looks really shiny, but that was before I look at the pictures of the product people posted. The actual colors really seem off, far from the vibrant shades the original version has. Its design being its main asset (after all it's more of a jewel than a knife), I don't think it's worth its price. :/

This is 1 of them,a very nice dagger 🗡, 286 layers if I remember correctly. She "sings "very nicely.

AmraNow that’s a pretty blade. Excellent interplay of the forged pattern and the grind. Darn it, just when I was filling in my Marble’s collection (blades, not vitreous spheres), this gets my juices flowing in another direction.

Spyderco has a lot of small knives - like the dragonfly, bug, manbug, grasshopper, ladybug, etc. that are going to be more useful than this offering for the same price or less

Hi,
I'm really trying to order this knife, but every time the drop is active, it will never ship to my country can this issue be solved.
Note: a year ago i oredered 3 of these through a forwarding company which i never received, oh will gona save you the drama.

A pretty knife my daughter perhaps, but the blade seems too short.
Going on a bit of a tangent, does anyone know why Drop hasn't listed any Spyderco knives in a long time? I got a handful of them here but haven't seen more since. Mostly I'd be interested in another Spyderco Blue Box, but haven't seen any Blue Boxes in a while. Maybe I'm a sucker for punishment, but the appeal of possibly getting an upgrade is a draw. I didn't get any upgrades on the last two Spyderco blue boxes, and last June's Bounty Box was an awful value for what I received. I would have thought that at least one would get a good deal on the prices since they were offloading a bunch of unsold items. As it was, the upgrades were minimal and most of the items were useless, and MD even listed some of the same items for lower prices shortly thereafter. Well, live and learn. At least with the Blue Box, there isn't the chance of getting random junk. Things seem different since MD changed it's name to Drop. I can't put my finger on what it is, but for whatever reason (maybe just fewer blue boxes), I've found fewer reasons to buy since then.

inventbotI think it is up to Spyderco being willing to do a deal. Kizer used to come up frequently and they don't anymore.
