Rub some leather conditioner/oil into it to protect it. You’re gonna like the way it looks. I guarantee it. Beats all the regular desk mats that just suck up all that gamer juice you guys spill and don’t wash away

Good deskmat with caveats

I'm not sure this is a great value at the price stated. The edges are unfinished(I knew this going in as they are sold as raw but it's important to note) and due to that it kind of detracts from the overall look. 2 minutes at the manufacturer running something along the edge would have removed a lot of these loose burrs. You can still have a raw unpainted edge like I do on other pieces I won without the extra burrs. Secondly, not the fault of the mat, but it's important as you are buying from drop, the mat was not shipped flat to me. It's the middle of the winter where I live. I had to weigh the mat down to get it to flatten out. All that being said, the leather looks quality and has been easy to take care of so far. I would buy it again but only if I had a coupon like I did. I do recommend this product with some reservations.

Rustic is a kind way to put it.

I am disappointed with this desk mat. The leather has numerous imperfections, scratches and discolorations. So much so that at first I thought I was looking at the underside and not the top, but on turning it over there are numbers written on the back, and the finish is even rougher. At this price point I expected a better quality of leather. Debating whether it’s worth the hassle to return. Skip this one. I wish I had.

It is a pretty great quality leather desk mat. My cons are that it's not very grippy on a glass desk. I end up wiping the back of it down with water and it gives a much better grip. I assume because it's leather i could try something else but i haven't taken the time to look into it yet. Other than that, the tapered edges of this mat are probably a bonus or a negative to you. I tend to put several mats down on my desk at once and remove them as they get dirty to clean. I was hoping this would be a very solid grippy base for that. It didn't really work out that great. It just doesn't have enough grip on my desk for that, also the dimensions would always have part of the mat overhanging. Still looks great, feels great. I'll probably move it to the office where i don't keep many mats and just use it as the only one. Basically if it had better grip i'd give it 5 out of 5. My personal grips don't take away from the quality.

Good quality, easier to maintain than cloth desk mats

High quality desk mat with decent thickness (comparable to the typical cloth ones). It's harder and less flexible than the cloth ones but I have no complaints. I got the cinnamon colour and it's gorgeous. The only questionable design choice IMO is that the middle of the mat is wider than the ends - I would have preferred a simpler design with straight edges so it can look good when aligned to the edge of a desk.

Quality Leather

This is definitely saddle quality Leather. Amazon trying to sell this for 200 bucks and I got it for 80 and the Rustic website is selling for 90. This was a helluva value purchase if you are looking to add some sophistication to your office or gaming room. Really happy about this purchase.
