The first thing you’re likely to notice when you look at the Sennheiser IE 600 IEM is its unique housing. 3D-printed and molded out of a supremely resilient amorphous metal and hand-finished to add a powder-coated-esque texture, these earphones look equally futuristic and industrial. But on the inside, you’ll find a classic Sennheiser setup: 7-millimeter TrueResponse transducers and D2CA dual resonance chambers to provide excellent balance and fullness in the sound. The frequency response covers well beyond the range of human hearing—and with less than 0.1 percent total harmonic distortion, there’s a level of detail and presence that audiophiles will appreciate. The IE 600 includes gold-plated cables with MMCX connectors—both unbalanced and balanced—a range of replacement ear tips, a cleaning tool, and a premium carrying case.
