Sentraq TK78 Mechanical Keyboard Kit

Slightly larger than a 60-percent board—with the added functionality of a number pad—the TK78 combines two popular key layouts while retaining almost every feature of both. All the missing keys, like the arrow cluster and F row, are incorporated in the function layer. And this kit comes with everything you’ll need to build it, including a PCB, plate, and solid anodized aluminum plate, with your choice of switches and keycaps as well as cables.

The premium PCB comes with an ENIG layer to improve both durability and ease of soldering while adding a bit of aesthetic appeal. For your convenience, it comes pre-programmed with the below layout and LED lighting setup, though the board supports TMK-keyboard firmware that allows you to fully customize every aspect of the firmware. All base components such as the diodes and micro-controller have been pre-soldered, so all you have to do is solder your choice of LEDs and switches. Supporting various layouts, the anodized aluminum plate is available in a variety of colors, adding another layer of customization to your board. The cutouts allow for switch top removal, which makes any future mods, like swapping out springs or stems, a breeze.

Milled from a solid block of aluminum, the case adds the final bit of sturdiness to the whole package. Featuring a chamfered edge, it can be anodized to match the color of the plates. The kit is available with various Cherry MX and Gateron options. Also available is a set of black-on-dark-gray dye-sublimated PBT caps.
