Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. In your opinion would this dap pair well with Mr. Speakers Alpha dogs? Also in your opinion how do you think it would sound with the akg 7xx that is being sold here? Thanks in advance.
I'm not one to really crank the volume, though so you might listen louder. As an example, I loaned M5 + DUNU DK4001 (awesome IEM, BTW!) to a coworker. I had it on 40/120. He brought it back in 57/120 and was shocked at how much I reduced the volume to reach a more comfortable listening level.
If using with planars, I'd suggest usin an amp. The Aune B1 in high gain + Class A mode would work well for on the go listening. Cayin C5 would also be a good choice.
Hope that helps!
