It works right out of the box and the software is very customizable, but only in Chinese, so if you don’t know chinese you should be prepared for that.
The keyboard feels somewhat sturdy but not like some other higher end ones, but I have to say: I love the keycaps, they look awesome! It is very compact and has a nice USB-C port and looks great with a coil cable. One thing I have to clarify is that this is an optical keyboard, meaning that the hot-swappable switches are only swappable with other OPTICAL switches, not mechanical ones. But for the price of 57$ (which was my price) this truly is a bang for the buck.
this was my very first mechanical keyboard. I love the super simple design. I wasn’t prepared for how long it would take for me to adjust to the lack of dedicated function and arrow keys but now I hardly notice it. Would probably start with a larger keyboard and worked my way down to this size if I could go back in time.
Seems to have n-key roll over limitations that really impact usefulness for gaming, cannot run, strafe and jump reliably.
Instructions dont seem to mention that there is a software that can be downloaded for additional lighting and macro controls, software not very intuitive.
Beyond those 2 grips the keys are nice and switchs are very smooth, I opt'd for the blue and they have a smoother action and cleaner click than the cherry mx blues on the hyperx alloy fps..
It is aesthetically pleasing but I would not recommend this keyboard for gaming. For non gaming use it's a nice typing experience in a small form factor.
Just received this today, and personally think that it is amazing. the caps are well built and the RGB looks really nice. Its very light and comfortable as well. The casing is also very well built and sturdy with only very minor flaws like excess plastic found from most mould castings. I'm not a professional when it comes to keyboards but that is just my personal opinion of the keyboard
Nice overall feel and decent weight. I use this portably sometimes and it works great for that. Software customizability is alright, just takes some getting used to.
Just take note that it can't be recognised if you use a type c to type c cable.
A solid build especially for the price point. The leds (which are technically customizable without the use of software) only have 10 profiles none of which I like so I leave them off. I have not yet downloaded the software to change the leds which are north facing.
I have used this every day since I bought it. It’s great and for the price I enjoy it. It’s always gonna be a great standby if I ever upgrade. If not I’m still rocking the gateron optical blues. Will recommend if on a budget. The only downside is the app to adjust the lighting is clunky. 9/10
this was the second keyboard i bought off of drop and for the price the quality is amazing. i loved the switched inside and the response time felt faster than with my ctrl.
