Does it stand on its own? (Otherwise good luck filling it)
If you lose the cap can you replace it?
Since there's no retention loop for it I can imagine it's fairly easy to lose especially when doing outdoorsy stuff.
jzen0I was given one of these as a gift. Here's my two cents:
- It does not stand on it's own and filling it is indeed a pain. I usually prop it between a couple of books or something.
- I don't find the lack of a retention loop to be a dealbreaker, personally. Never thought it was a problem as there are certainly other flasks out there without retention loops.
- The titanium is indeed tasteless and I notice a difference when drinking from it over my other steel flasks. That said because of the cost I'm loathe to take it with me places in the event it's taken from me and/or I have to dispose of it for some reason or another.
- The shape is great for the back pocket of a pair of jeans and bad basically anywhere else.
Would I have bought one? No - but it was definitely a very well appreciated and thoughtful gift.
Also side note: I own 3 flasks and the funnels suck for all of them. They all sit flush with the opening meaning that the liquor needs to work against the existing air pressure inside the flask to enter? I usually wind up lifting them up a bit (which again: hard to do with this flask) so some air can escape, but always wind up spilling in the process.
