I was on the verge of buying that last week... But there are several things that put me down. Battery life, no Fingerprint sensor, overall design (you can like it or dislike it, but that thing is bulky for that screen size). Yes, it is a great price point for the specs, but most of those that differentiate it from the competition are gimmicks. 3D avatar creation, 4k screen (who needs 8M pixels in a <30 inch screen?)... Also heard bad things about the glass all around, and having had a Z Ultra that ended up scratched everywhere, I decided to pass.
In any case, you get flagship at midrange price so if you are in a budget either this or the Razer phone when on sale are great options. The OnePlus 5t will be the leader in the category. I went for a Note 8 because I prefer a bigger screen.
AndreugvI probably get 5-6 He's SOT with music streaming most of the day, lasts 2 days without a problem. I've had it for half a year now. Also, I only charge it to 80% not sure if that has an affect or not.
ZomNomNomSo, light operation with screen off. Not a good representative for this phone where the screen will eat 40-50% of the battery life. Those pixels don't come free 😉
ZomNomNomNot trying to fight you here, but it uses the pixels it has. It doesn't matter what you render at. You upscale that and display it at 4k. Most reviews say it has good battery life until you stream video or something like that. For me it was a no-go because every bit of battery life counts. My past phone was an LG V20 with a 10000 mAh battery case. I use it a lot and always got home with 10-15% battery. If I add double the pixels I will run out for sure, even if I can find a battery case for the phone, which is bulky in itself.
AndreugvAnd that's perfectly okay, for me this phone works great and I got it at a good price. If I could trade it out for another phone though I'd choose the HTC U11+.
