Spyderco Kapara Carbon Fiber & S30V Knife
A Capable Folder With Arachnid Ability
Designed by knifemaker Alistair Phillips, the Kapara folder takes inspiration from the redback spider native to Phillips’ home of Australia. Known for its highly venomous bite and distinct red markings, the redback is a force to be reckoned with. And so is the Kapara. Featuring a 3.6-inch blade made of S30V stainless steel, it’s an excellent piercer and slicer. Keeping the blade open and secure, the compression lock is easy to operate with one hand from the back of the handle. Scales made of carbon fiber encompass the liners, while a red backspacer—an allusion to the redback’s signature coloring—maintains form and structure. For ease of carry, the Kapara also includes a tip-up clip for righties and lefties.
