SnargeOk, thanks, that’s nice and all, but I want massdrop to do that work. i shouldn’t have to do a google search to see swabs or a writing sample for an ink drop.
writerstephenI actually am. This is dialed back half a notch over ignoring you. I usually do that with lazy entitled full-size children. The ignoring part, not the dialing back.
To directly answer your question, it was called for because you didn't stop at "thanks". You had to announce your entitlement. What makes you think Massdrop owes you that? Do you expect every possible bit of information to be spoon fed to you right there on the same page? How on earth is 5 words into a Google Image search too much effort?
SnargeActually, my original comment was not motivated by laziness. As a consumer, and a longtime massdrop user, I feel I have a right to criticize their practices from time to time if I feel it’s warranted. The drop page would be improved by including pictures of samples/swabs, yes?
Having said that, I do appreciate your half-witted misguided rudeness, though. Thanks!
writerstephenOh cool, it was entitlement. And no, not really. Not when it is so readily available on Google. If nobody else had done it or it was really hard to find, I'd be with you, because it would add something useful that didn't exist. But since it is so unbelievably easy to find elsewhere, I don't see why it's something you think you are owed personally by Massdrop.
SnargeBoy, you are thick. It’s not about me. I like massdrop. I want it to succeed. Whether or not the info is easy to find from another source, including something so obvious on the drop page shouldn‘t even be a question. Check some of their other ink drops—do any of them have swabs (which, I admit, is what I should have asked for originally)?
But since you’re determined to miss the point, and have convinced yourself that I’m an entitled overgrown child, I have no chance of gainsaying you and further engagement is pointless. Hope you have a miserable day.
writerstephenI don’t want to risk getting in the middle of a good row... BUT - I wondered why ink swabs weren’t included with the photos of ink bottles. Certainly NOT because I feel in anyway “entitled” to the information. Definitely not because I am either too lazy or too cognitively impaired to do a google search. (an absurd assumption )
I would have either asked the same question @writerstephen asked OR simply passed on the drop.
I can’t think of any online retailer that does not include ink swabs and/or handwriting samples with product descriptions. There is a broad spectrum of color in this world of ours... it isn’t just red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
A simple matter of sales, which I am sure MD overlooked. Rest assured, “someone” would have asked the question.... Not that I am choosing sides here. ;)

writerstephenI don’t usually chime in... I usually either laugh or cringe over such things.
I actually came to the discussion page to ask if any one had used the inks, how do they perform, ask if they could post a swab... the usual stuff.
Was a bit surprised to see someone respond to a simple question. That one was uncalled for and served no purpose.
Well I couldn’t leave a pen pal hanging.
