What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

But $110 is reasonable...CNC milling isn't cheap, and even low quality cases are expensive (Vortex $150 alu TKL case), though TEX makes very nice 60% cases.
“the cost of making this (the acrylic case) is entirely in the cost of CNC operation. A block of acrylic and a block of aluminum are not significantly different in terms of cost. So, when I list the aluminum version the price will be more or less similar.”
So, what Andrew said is that CNC operation on both materials costs the same and both materials cost the same. So, TEX acrylic and aluminum cases should cost the same and sell for "similar" pricing. But a $60 acrylic case and a $100 aluminum case isn't exactly the same. I think I did pass my math class back in my school days.
Those feet are pretty cool though, so it's probably worth the extra work.
Other than that, no fucking way is $60 similar to $105, please don't try and pretend that it is, even if you are stupid enough to think it is, the rest of us are not.
Very poor form.
When people can't keep their stories consistent, that means they are lying. I am simply to hold you and your company accountable to your words, which I haven't seen enough of it. If you keep doing this, I can assure members will flee and business will go bad. If that happens, all people remember of Massdrop is a nicely designed website providing group buy service running by bunch of amateurs.
Talking about accountability, removing the "talk" section from the top of the page is a sign of your company's accountability going down the drain, because you don't want people to dig up more dirt from the past. There used to be 3 tabs on top, now there are only two. People do notice.
Remember, people are not as stupid as you think.
