This is an absolutely beautiful key cap, the detail looks incredible. And having said that, this is sorta like the oxymoron of key caps. You get what I'm saying at least. I'm sure there is a better analogy but that's what fell to the front of my skull first. And, I can't be the only guy that has slammed his keyboard with various parts of my hand and ..... ouch.
update: For some reason I thought this was a metal casting when I wrote the above. Said still stands but now that I look at it closely, it's just not as impressive made of resin. Is that mold taken from a ring or a game piece or something?

That looks sooo low quality. I am looking forward to my hippo keycap though that shit looks tight. Dwarf factory makes the only high quality caps I've seen.

A quality artisan maker probably wont consider drop to begin with because of how much of a long term commitment that could turn into. It's hard to maintain QC when taking on massive Drop style pre orders, and a few of the popular makers do it alone or with maybe 1 or 2 helpers/employees..... there are exceptions to that though (Jelly Key, Dwarf Factory like you mentioned).
