Made using renovated knitting machines from the World War II era, these Tieasy cotton sweaters are a great addition to any cold-weather wardrobe. The 100-percent organic cotton is sourced in the US, then spun, knit, and dyed in eastern Japan—in a factory recently restored after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice between the HDCS Border Boatneck Shirt (available in four colors) and the Original Border Boatneck Shirt (available in six colors). Available sizes include 3 (XS), 4 (S), 5 (M), 6 (L), 7 (XL), and 8 (XXL); the latter two have a $10 surcharge. As all sweaters are made to order, please expect an 8-week lead time.
Boatneck Style & Nautical Stripes
The boatneck style and bold stripes are a nod to classic Navy workwear, and the fabric is meant to provide comfortable, easy wear for years to come. Featuring an extremely high-density weave, the HDCS border boatneck requires the talents of skilled artisans—not to mention a considerable amount of time—to perfect. The cotton in the original border boatneck is knitted in a slub type for a light, airy, pleasant feel against the skin.
