Blake_g98Same here. I wanted a headphone dac+amp with optical in and speaker outputs, volume control etc. This seems to check all the boxes, but will it be good enough(tm)? I would rather save up for the better one if this will be substandard.
What I'm curious about is build quality and interference and whether the sound is ok-enough.
what I was looking for:
* Bluetooth 4 AptX
* Speaker out (Decent average power)
* Auto Power off
* Automatic switching of inputs/outputs/headphones
* 192khz/24bit DAC
* Optical input / Aux input / USB input
Blake_g98Someone posted some info. I believe this is an older burr-brown dac chip. However, burr-brown has a good reputation for a warmer sound, which I like. Does anyone know about Bluetooth 4.0? I know it's older. I wonder how much it drops out. I'll probably do chromecast audio into aux that streams through router. It's near lossless. For active speakers, you have to go headphone out. This checks a lot of boxes for me. It's not a Cavelli or an Akm dac, but I bet it's fine. Pretty good price for a lot of options.
If it's bad, at least I'm not losing $500.
ElsidI don't think this one is AptX (or BT 4.0?) I can't find definite answers to this. However, this is not too important to me... I won't use BT for this often, would just have liked the feature.
