If you have a ghost problem, or you really like to mess with your friends at night, the Ghost Hunter Laser Crossbow is the solution. Handmade from stainless steel, it features a laser dot sight to help you take aim Read More
I’m happy with the crossbow, although, as others have pointed out, the non-intuitive assembly, and lack of a simple sheet of instruction is annoying; I managed to put it together and it works, although the trigger sticks sometime.
Much more annoying, though, is the rubbish laser that had a flat battery, with no obvious means of replacing the battery! Just how stupid is that?
Also, and even more annoying, is that I received a parcel today, which my girlfriend had to go to the Post Office to collect and pay £14.12 Custom charge for, and it’s another crossbow, that I never ordered!
If I’d gone to get it, and seen what it was, I’d have refused it and had it returned, saving me nearly £15.
I will be returning it, and I’ll expect a refund of my outstanding costs, the customs fee and return postage costs, plus I would like a refund of the extra cost of the rubbish laser as well.
For those having problems with getting toothpicks to fire, you need the metal coil needs to be over the trigger catch, and cutting the end off the toothpick with nail clippers gives a flat end for the bow-string to push against
got 2 for xmas prezs . NO instructions (not intuitive) . Both lasers Dead on Arrival , NO assembly instructions found online.
Not happy out almost a hundred bucks . . . .
First, I bought two of the crossbows, without the laser, and they are great. They look good and work well, if you take the time to learn how to load them properly.
But, I ordered this one with the laser, received an email on 12/10 (10 days ago). As of today 12/20, the post office actually shows that the tracking number has expired, they never received it.
THIS IS WHAT PISSES OFF YOUR CUSTOMERS< Massdrop! Many companies lie about that ship date, usually just by a day or two before it actually is sent. I'm pretty sure you are using a third party delivery to bring them to a large USPS disto center. Do you have someone pulling a skid full of packages by hand?
I don't mind waiting for you to ship my stuff. Just inform me when it actually ships. A lot less frustration. And don't give me the holiday mail is slowing it down. The USPS system is working just fine this year.
jeffgauthThere is a hole to push the toothpick into, but to work properly the point has to be removed from one end, and the metal coil positioned in the centre of the ‘string’ where it pushes against the flat end of the toothpick.
I found this out by trial and error.
....and here's ANOTHER mini-crossbow drop that has been "re-woken", in spite of entirely negative remarks about build quality and function.
No remarks from Massdrop in response to complaints, either.
Disappointing on many levels that this is the case, once again. :(
One would think that Massdrop might resolve the unhappiness issues before re-dropping an item.
That's just bad QC, and, clearly, the manufacturer has NONE.
Read my comment above; the laser is rubbish and doesn’t work, there are no instructions and it’s not obvious how to get it to work properly.
Plus I’ve had to pay a £15 customs charge for a second crossbow I never ordered.
That is a fact, not #fakenews.
And I’m very annoyed about it.
