Varmilo is known for its superlative dye-sublimation work, and this keyset is no different. Made in step-sculpture 2 low profile, the keys are manufactured from PBT and feature legends that won’t soon fade Read More
Wish this could be revisited... 229 users who have requested, + the many who originally wanted it. I would bet it could succeed easily for 250/500MOQ numbers if launched again.
Please consider adding some more options to the layout - maybe even ISO. Otherwise this set is just too close to those mass produced PBT caps from Vortex/TaiHao. You can get decent PBT caps in this single-layout configuration for alot cheaper so if you want to attract the guys with bigger pockets and an appetite for more exclusive keycap sets, you should consider offering additional options. People who pay 70$+ for a keycap set often also have some special preference when it comes to layouts like split shift/backspace or stepped capslock, WKL bottom row or even 1800 support. Not sure how that would affect the price but I guess it would make drops like this alot more appealing.
WodanVarmilo doesn't have the molds at the moment, and priced the set higher because the color is not something they have. This was a test Massdrop wanted to do with a new manufacturer, but the failed drop doesn't mean there won't be opportunities to work with them again. The set is as simple as they come, no need to complicate things for an experiment. Clearly it's at a price range that many are not comfortable with, and adding keys will only make it more expensive.
thesiscamperHm I understand that but the way I see it, adding more keys is the best way to justify a high price - even if that raises it even further. I'm not saying all the GMK drops go super smooth but they usually offer quite a number of additional options and find more buyers at a higher price.
