Hey guys, I have been using this keyboard with a Dell Venue Pro 11. I was trying to create a portable system with a mechanical keyboard, because I'm on the go a lot and really miss my mechs back home. So far it's been going ok. I do have that issue many have had here where if my tablet goes to sleep, the keyboard loses its connection and the only way to fix it is a reboot. For some reason unpairing and repairing is hit and miss with this tablet, so once it's paired, I try to leave that relationship alone. I have confirmed this tablet has Bluetooth 4.0 and is running Windows 10. I am using the latest Bluetooth drivers. I also tried disabling the power management on the Bluetooth device and no difference.
I didn't want to do this, but I'm about to give in and buy a Bluetooth dongle. I know this has been discussed a lot here, and I apologize for asking but I don't know how to search these discussions threads. My question is, which dongle have you had the best luck with? I have seen a few different ones posted here and am not sure which one to go with.
I also wanted to share a strange occurence I have had. I took my keyboard and tablet to a certain restaurant, and the keyboard simply would not connect to my tablet. I unpaired it and then couldn't even pair it. The only way I could get the keyboard to show up on the list of Bluetooth devices was to turn off Bluetooth on the tablet and then back on, and the keyboard would show up, but touching the connect button would give me some error about not being able to connect to the keyboard. I wouldn't even get the code prompt.
So I gave up and ate my meal, and then in the car I tried it again because I was thinking my keyboard had died or something. But in the car, it paired up the first time and connected just fine. I rebooted and everything and no problem. The following week I went back to the restaurant and the same problem happened. Is it possible there is something in that restaurant that is interfering with Bluetooth? The weird thing is that I also have a Bluetooth mouse and it has no problem at all.
Thanks.
