Not All Linears Are The Same!
Figure 1: Not even all of these (mostly) KTT-made linears are the same! After all of my years of collecting, reviewing, and obsessing over switches, I can say with certainty that linear switches are the most misunderstood of all of the switch types. No, I’m not talking about mechanically either, as all of the claims of them “just going straight up and down” are somewhat kind of true. (Not too much though, don’t get that excited.) The part that is often misunderstood, though, is usually in what is being implied when people say that these switches just go straight up and down – “All linears might as well be the same.” If the title of this article didn’t make that obvious enough to you, I find that sort of idea to be completely and utterly wrong. The people who make these implications wouldn’t say that a Cherry MX Black is the same as a Novelkeys Cream switch? They also certainly wouldn’t ever claim that every Gateron-made linear is the same as every fancy TTC one out there...

I didn't want to do this, but I'm about to give in and buy a Bluetooth dongle. I know this has been discussed a lot here, and I apologize for asking but I don't know how to search these discussions threads. My question is, which dongle have you had the best luck with? I have seen a few different ones posted here and am not sure which one to go with.
I also wanted to share a strange occurence I have had. I took my keyboard and tablet to a certain restaurant, and the keyboard simply would not connect to my tablet. I unpaired it and then couldn't even pair it. The only way I could get the keyboard to show up on the list of Bluetooth devices was to turn off Bluetooth on the tablet and then back on, and the keyboard would show up, but touching the connect button would give me some error about not being able to connect to the keyboard. I wouldn't even get the code prompt.
So I gave up and ate my meal, and then in the car I tried it again because I was thinking my keyboard had died or something. But in the car, it paired up the first time and connected just fine. I rebooted and everything and no problem. The following week I went back to the restaurant and the same problem happened. Is it possible there is something in that restaurant that is interfering with Bluetooth? The weird thing is that I also have a Bluetooth mouse and it has no problem at all.
Thanks.
