Given that the Chile Pepper Institute spells the name of the fruit "Chile" I'm gonna keep complaining about this one.

PS: Go Aggies!
$18.99 at Knifecenter, the largest online, respected, knife selling site. Yet again, being in Switzerland, Massdrop (or Drop... Whatever...) doesn't ship to my nation. So I indeed got me a banana one through Knifecenter. Massdrop... You guys can do better with your pricing, come on.
BadchileThe spelling of Chili and Chile are interchangeable. They mean the same thing.
The only difference is Chile is less common and more likely to be confused with the country in South America. Most English speaking nations spell the spice as 'chili'.
A quick google search would have clarified this for you.
Edit:
While reading further, New Mexico and Arizona are known for spelling the pepper as chile.
The fact remains the spelling of chili and chile means the same thing.

BadchileInteresting! It is indeed location dependent. However, I don't blame you for not knowing- if you hadn't commented as such, I'd also remain oblivious to the subtle cultural differences in play. Knowing this now, even with the "wrong" (or right) spelling I guess it just makes it even more meaningful somehow :)
