The Violectric HPA V340 takes an elegant, no-nonsense approach: providing low-noise, high-headroom amplification to add polish and nuance to your high-impedance headphones. The all-black design is decidedly unflashy, meaning its goal isn’t to stand out on your desk, but rather blend in nicely with sleeker setups Read More
I couldn't tell you without looking at the schematics, but amps do not need to have a balanced signal in order to output a differential, balanced signal ("true" balanced if you will). So yes, this amp takes an unbalanced signal and could turn it into a balanced one.
legaceezIt's very possible. Much cheaper amps achieve a balanced output by using opamps. Heck, some amps like the Bryston BHA-1 actually will convert your balanced inputs into unbalanced first.
Because an amp doesn't require balanced inputs to give a fully differential balanced output (look it up if you don't believe me; this is indeed possible without "cheating" and using opamps).
