Product Description
Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s work with the golden ratio, the pentagram, and the nautilus shell (also known as the golden spiral), this fountain pen is a study in sacred geometry. You can find the divine proportion when you compare the length of the cap with the length of the pen, and the golden spiral can be traced along its length Read More

I have one of these (purchased for a much lower price, btw). Standard horrible Visconti writer-nib required a great deal of work to get it to something acceptable. Really beautiful celluloid, though

mathguy1015Did you buy it from an individual, store or pen show? It's a grail pen for me.

The piston mechanism in this pen twists an internal converter. This is different from a pelican or lamy 2000 in that the internal mechanism can be removed/replaced with a drop-in replacement, but it is proprietary and must be serviced through an authorized service technician.
I much prefer the power-fill mechanism Visconti offers for its rugged design and larger ink capacity.
