I posted this elsewhere - but this is probably a more appropriate area.
How about a Fishing community? Potential to reach a very wide user base.

One piece rods aren't practical to post, but multi-piece fly rods and travel rods are no problem. Other essentials - reels, line, lures, etc. are small and easy to post. There is also a wide range of electronice - GPS, Sounders, EPIRBs/PLBs, Marine Radios, etc. etc. etc. Tackle storage systems. Apparel. Scents. Tools. The list goes on and on (and on...) The pic. is a part of my lure collection - just my bream lures! #Tacklejunkiesoftheworldunite!

Thanks for the suggestion. Fishing is something that is being considered under the Outdoors Community, which is launching shortly. But it could also be it's own stand-alone community as there isn't a ton of crossover with backpacking, tenkara rods being the notable exception.

Thats great to hear Danny. There is some crossover between fishing and general outdoors, so seems a natural place to start. If fishing gear takes off I guess it could then be considered for it's own community.

There are plenty of fly rods that break up into several pieces that can be put in or strapped to a backpack. Don't limit the scope to tenkara rods.
For example: http://sportsmansequipment.com/2016/08/09/tailwater-outfitters-toccoa-fly-rod-fast-action-9-4-piece-im8-graphite-with-rod-tube-5-weight/

Would there be a separation between things like take-down rods and small reels made for backpacking, and their larger counterparts that are solid. For example keeping the take-downs with Outdoors and linking it with backpacking/hiking.

That's a good point @Heefty. Tenkara rods may be the most popular not, but they certainly aren't the only style that could be taken backpacking.

That's what I'm thinking. There is going to be some products that are right in the middle and have cross-over appeal, but the idea would be to keep the lighter, portable rods in Outdoors and Ultralight, and the more conventional gear in a Fishing Community (that is, of course, if we decide to start one sometime down the road).

Lots of guys here (Tassie) walk for miles (and miles and miles) carrying fly fishing gear (most fly rods are3 or 4 piece) or light spin gear.

Would you supply things like tackle and similar items or would it be just the rods and reels available?

I'd like to see tackle included. Here in Aus. decent small (trout or bream size) lures often retail for $15 - #30 each. Large (ie: game fishing) lures can cost a lot more. Braided line and flurocarbon leader are also high-cost items that are small and light and cheap to post. For lure tragics like me who use a lot of hard body lures the cost of our tackle can easilly equal the cost of several good rods and reels., and where as rods and reels usually last many years, lures, line and leaders need replacing frequently.

What happened to all the other items Drop used to sell?
Hello Everyone, I myself specifically created a Drop account to order some of the really cool items that Drop used to have for sale. Where are the Watches, Titanium Pens, and other fantastic tech items? While I love headphones, I can say that I have enough headphones now (thank you Drop). Are we going to be seeing other items again at all, or ever? I hope things change and go back to a variety of items to choose from. Otherwise, unfortunately I am reassessing if I should continue to have an account at all at this point. I used to get excited to see all of the new items that were provided to purchase. Where have they gone? I feel like now Drop has become just one more email I have to delete on a daily basis. Not that there is anything wrong with headphones or DAC amps. Does anyone have more information on this topic? Thanks for your thoughts.

Kinda heartbroken that we never got a Peña X Drop front flipper
that's all, I just would have milked my nut to see a nice set of color and material options on some kind of front flipper built by Reate and designed by Peña, preferably with some pretty golden bronze titanium too. Oh well, I guess I'll just cry about it and fiddle with this burlap Swayback

Steel skillets?
I'm interested in getting a ~10" and ~12" skillet. By steel, I mean no cast iron nor stainless steel, just regular plain old 'carbon' steel. I'm looking for something nominally 3mm thick so, maybe a Darto out of Argentina or something from Europe from Mauviel, Mafter, or DeBuyer. Amazon doesn't offer much and Ebay is way expensive during the current crisis. What options is everyone using to get the better steel skillets at reasonable pricing? I'm thinking for of a French skillet style versus a fry pan but, I'm open to other suggestions. TIA, Sid

What if there is a Massdrop community for bikes?
In my experience, good bicycles are a very active niche market akin to headphones and keyboards. People try out new components, accessories, apparel and even new bikes constantly. And it's a market where tons of new innovations come out every year. There are a lot of competitor shopping websites but Massdrop should consider its edge. Post your bike if you'd like to support the idea. And join the vote here: https://www.massdrop.com/vote/New-Communities-Poll-1

Different types of Clicking Techniques
If you are a hardcore Minecraft fan, then you must have known what I am talking about - Clicking techniques. Yes, Minecraft players are crazy about clicking techniques as they have to perform well against their opponents. So basically there are 3 main types of Clicking techniques, Jitter Clicking Drag Clicking Butterfly Clicking I won't go into much detail about each one of them. But I will give you the crisp definition so that you are aware of what all of them are and how one can do them. Also, I will be including a very valuable resource I found recently where you can check your clicks per the second score. For that, thanks to my friend, jack, who recommended to me this amazing website click speed test. So without further ado let's jump onto our main topic of clicking technique. 1) Jitter Clicking - in this method, you generate high vibrations in a very controller manner and these vibrations you transmit to your fingers resulting in mouse clicks. It is one of the best ways...
