This rebrand makes me cringe. It feels like it was perpetrated by the same people that redesigned Reddit; foreshadowing an impending onslaught of dark patterns. When I first found Massdrop I was super excited about your product: Narrow and expertly curated (potentially custom) goods offered at an increasingly discounted price based on interest. There is a lot of synergy packed into that offering: by experts for experts, recommendations that help beginners and experts alike, discounts on rarely discounted products, providing small teams with a means of production / distribution. etc. While some of the core components that brought me to the site in the first place are still functional, I worry about the direction you are headed. It seems that your biggest pride / focus as a company is producing your own products (which from afar comes off as private labeling). I buy keyboards from Massdrop because they are made by the mechanical keyboard community. I have no interest in buying one with a Massdrop logo on it because Massdrop is not a keyboard company. You can't leverage the expertise of the community to claim to be an expert yourself; you will only end up alienating specialists and hasten your descent into mediocrity. Please don't become one of those sites that sells HD/4D Special Ops Tactical Polarized Sunglasses for $19.99 and claims that they're a $300 value. Because when you lose my respect, you'll lose me as a customer.
