There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now I know it may seem biased because I’m currently working with MÜLIBEX to expand their brand but I just wanted to share my own insight from my time working with Steve, the creator of the MUHL and CAPRA chairs.
A lot of the clients I’ve worked for in the past are oriented on sales and on ways they can improve their companies bottom line. They want to grow their companies and I help them think of all different ways to do that, usually with social marketing. With Steve it's been clear from the first week that he’s not just chasing easy money or trying to satisfy his personal ego. Steve is really just making people’s lives better by building better ultralight products. He's all about improving the treks he goes on and is an avid outdoorsman. As I’ve tried out his prototypes in person, the quality I’ve seen is quite extraordinary and worthy of any serious backpacker. Seriously, these chairs are comfortable and very stable. Have a look at the MÜLIBEX® products yourself: https://mulibex.com or checkout his ongoing Kickstarter: http://kck.st/2ErtOmd to help him bring his project to life.
These are the two ultralight chairs weighing in at 1.2lbs (for the one that uses trekking poles) and 2.1lbs (for the one with the full frame):
