I will using it for gaming and music..... a lot of music listening as well. so what combo would the more experience audio heads recommend? I was thinking of getting the MASSDROP CTH + SDAC DAC/AMP since it has both but again.. i dont know much so im not sure if thats even a good thing.

If you want an all-in-one unit, iFi's Zen is a great deal at $130 (albeit not available on Drop).

CTH + SDAC not a bad place to start. Other things to consider: cheap Schiit stack (Modi 3 + Magni 3+). Including the one RCA cable you'll need to connect them, it'll cost you like $220.The only real mistake you can make right now is buying something really expensive without knowing your own preferences. Nowadays the cheap stuff can get you about 80-90% of the way there (especially in amps, where there's no man's land between $500 - $2000). Seriously, stick to cheap and only buy more stuff if you personally audition something you like.

dcha12Also I forgot to mention this..I’m not sure how to set up the schiit stack Once I receive them. Usually I would know how but as I mention I have a sound card so adding that into the mix is throwing me off a bit.

SaitekinaAlways happy to help out! In response to setting up the stack, if your soundcard has an optical-out, you can use that to connect your Modi 3; you'll just have to set the soundcard to output the digital signal that way. Otherwise, use either USB or optical from your motherboard (some motherboards sound better one way or the other; mine in particular has a really bad SPDIF out, and marginally better USB). From the DAC's SE outputs, it's a simple RCA cable to the amp. That part should be pretty easy.
