Finally after looking at this rack I was able to find it and buy it. Tidy things up a bit. Keep equipment like it should be, long term use...

I got the Schiit stack; a Magni 3 and Modi 2 Uber, and it sounds great. However, I began experimenting with other DAC's and a Presonus Audiobox USB (which are generally, $50 used) has even better sound than the Modi. However, there are caveats: 1. There is no power switch on the Audiobox. It is simply, on when plugged into USB (USB powered). 2. You'll need 1/4" Mono Phono plug to RCA adapters for the Line-outs. But on my rig with MDR-V700's it sounds better than the Modi 2 Uber. Give one a try if you come across one.

Thanks for the 411, chris! Which headphones are you working with? I have to take the nuances of your cans into consideration because my V700's are, for instance, known for being bottom heavy.

LogisticsI use it with isine 10, centrance cerene, and alessandro m1. Sound signature wise, anything above 5532 sound rather similar in U1. Opa2210 is quieter and has a sweeter sound, but doesn’t change overall heaviness in bass at all. I do recommend thinking about changing U4. It’s power rail comparator. Current opamp 2903/393 is okay in speed. LT1018 is much faster and has higher power ripple rejection. U2/3 in my tests with LT1355 only brings a little more treble out.
