Cheap USB Interface as DAC / amp?

more_vert
So I'm thinking about dabbling in production, and the Behringer UPHORIA seems like a decent "bang for the buck, nothing serious" line to get into the hobby -- specifically the ultra budget-friendly UM2, found here for $30: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EK1OTZC/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

My (probably ill-informed) question is this: would anyone out there happen to have any insight as to its performance as a DAC/amp? My casual googling has been unable to unearth any mention of its use in this manner, or or an actual DAC that may or may not be inside. But... there's got to be one in there, no? The Xenyx mic preamp has a decent reputation, but that's about all I've seen about it. I'll be getting it either way and will provide some commentary after I do, but I was just wondering if anyone out there has tried this and failed or not failed.
Thanks!

You might want to specify whether you would like an AMP for speakers or headphones. If the AMP is for speakers then what types of speakers do you have? Do you have passive or active speakers?
