kchenI reviewed them recently for another website. It's not really an 'emphasis' on treble, it's that the bass isn't quite as exaggerated. What really makes the MSR7 better is the detail.

kcheneven though the m50x are more v shaped they are still much more balanced than many headphones out there

I looked these up and they seem to be different in sound signature. MSR7 is neutral having a little emphasis on treble while the m50x are v-shaped. The build quality wins over m50x on material alone, but it doesn't fold compared to m50x.
