Audioengine S8 Powered Subwoofer

I would love to see the SVS SB-1000 drop. I see the Audioengine S8 has an active drop, but that thing just doesn't have enough power for me. Compare the S8 and the SB-1000: S8: MSRP $349 Freq. Response - 27 - 180 Hz Amp power - RMS 125 watts Size: 8 inch
SB-1000: MSRP $499 Freq. Response - 24 - 260 Hz Amp power - RMS 300 watts Size: 12 inch
I have the Audioengine A5+ speakers and I like them. I've been waiting for the S8 to come available because I'm guessing it has been designed to compliment my A5+s. HOWEVER... I've been looking at the other options listed here like the SVS, which sounds highly regarded. I might consider it over the S8 but it's in a reasonably small room and I'm afraid the 12" is going to be too much, with the S8 being a better "fit". What do you guys think?
Hey everyone, I'm pleased to announce that we have the Audioengine S8 that you all requested up - https://www.massdrop.com/buy/audioengine-s8
Thanks to everyone who participated, hope you like your subwoofers!
Check out amazon for anyone looking for the Polk Audio PSW10. It's on sale for 90 $
I guess the price makes the Audiogine a popular choice... Also it looks pretty nice, and Audiogine is a pretty well known brand...
The SVS SB1000 is an absolute beast.
Audioengine makes a pretty poor subwoofer. The SVS is pretty much a golden standard as subs go.
I'm loving the HSU and SVS picks. I already own a 12'' FV12 from rythmikaudio.
The SVS or even the BIC F-12 (for say, people with a lower budget) should really be at the top, the Audioengine S8 isn't exactly a great subwoofer.
That SVS will outperform anything else on the list at a lower cost than most of the list. Be sure to look it up before you vote!
I'm surprised SVS or HSU aren't at the top. Anybody who knows a bit about home subs will know they have one of the best price to performance ratios.
