It is so tiny! As a former IT professional I still remember how much space this kind of storage capacity used to take. I am blown away by the form factor and light weight of this device. I use it with a Dell laptop that does have a USB C port. I intend to also use it with an iPad Pro V3 – I will update the review if for some reason it does not work. I see no reason why there would be a problem. The only potential knock against the product might be that it is so light that it could be fragile. It is well-built, but plastic. That said, this is really a bridge product between a simple USB thumb drive and a more traditionally encased SSD drive. It is likely tougher than it looks.

portable SSD
I use my 512 GB SSD for work and when you are onsite with a customer it helps to have everything you need on something small and durable that fits in a pocket, or easily stowed in a laptop bag.

Speedy external drive
USB-C for a fast connection, which I got the 512GB size. Was originally using it for a steam-game drive, but now mainly using it to store large files to sneaker-net around (store a bunch of movies, or a full TV show to watch while gone on vacation with spotty internet). It is really fast at the 10Gpbs USB spec, which the drive is the limiting factor not the connection, assuming you have a drive that can push it that hard in the first place. While it is not thumb-drive small, it is still small enough and smaller than those old spinning disk drives, and so it is really easy to carry and transport around wherever I go. It has been rock solid and reliable since I purchased it a year ago (a bit late on this review). While it does have mostly an aluminum case to help dissipate any heat generated by the drive, there is still some plastic and not the top notch build quality, but not horribly cheap quality either.

Nice, solid little piece for saving "roving work" on - I'm glad I got it! And even the half-TB still offers plenty of room, haven't filled it up yet...

Only time will tell, I hope this five star is permanent and not temporary, so far so good.
