Only had them for a year and i have had to replace the cord twice!!! with an official cord too not a crappy fake off amazon (they get stuck inside the headset and rip the socket out avoid them at all costs). if i turn the headset too much or move my head from left to right i only get audio from the left ear and the right ear cuts out and it's even doing this with a brand new just out of the box 3rd cord. Just don't bother... I follow Linus's advice on this one but i really can't agree that these are any good. Side note, mine has zero bass... like ZERO and sound very flat, i do not know if this is just because my headset before was a Sennheiser Game Zero and was alot better but even my GF's Razer Kraken's are alot better and are cheaper.

TicklesWhat are you guys doing to your headphones... Honestly? I can just imagine gamers throwing these things againt a wall after getting sniped two hours into a furious Counter Halo Duty IV marathon. Two cables? Haha
Just take a look at the reviews on Amazon for gamer headphones. (There are a couple that overlap with musical headphones, like these.) And every third review features s picture of the headphones shattered is some way, along with some version of the kid calling the ‘phones “Cheap pieces of shït! Bause they broke an I ain’t even do NOTHIN!!!”
lol I don’t know *exactly* what’s being done to warrant two new cables, but it can’t be pretty. XD

LarryTLate reply but no I never "gamer raged" them, I always carefully took them off and on with care and never abused them. I have since replaced them with the HD6XX after massdrop offered to refund the AKGs and have never had a problem, better build quality and better sound.
