I like to see when oh so famous al-mar and flawless rike and same price are side to side on "the shelf".

I don't see any kind of "deal" here at all. Al Mar sell the model AMK4116 the 4" model on Amazon for only $102. Why is it $180 here? The $102 price is much more in line with level of the components and country of manufacture. Regardless, negotiating a price that's nearly double the going rate of your competition doesn't seem like it provides any value to the members here. https://www.amazon.com/Al-Mar-Ultralight-Titanium-Framelock/dp/B08D8TJS1C/ref=sr_1_35?dchild=1&keywords=Al+Mar&qid=1596469158&rnid=2941120011&s=hi&sr=1-35

At that price it should at least have 6AL4V (grade 5) titanium scales, even though it’s not a hard-use knife.

I don’t understand how al mar knives are so popular? 160$ for d2??? It looks like the build and design of a kershaw with the price of a benchmade and the material choices of a 15$ ganzo. Where’s the value here??

Three screws into a countersunk pocket clip? Must have been afraid that thing would come off! I like the blade style, but IMO the price doesn't justify a plain-jane titanium flipper in D2 - even if it is "ultralight". This is what you buy when you have better options, but have been getting bored and have money to burn.

136 for D2 and a really shallow pocket clip... "Ultralight" - 51g...

Qwervy37g on the 2.75" blade. Really tempted me since I like them light, but the price and clip are the deal killers.

So what do we call the opposite of a deep carry clip? Shallow carry? High carry?

Anyone else getting a Ken Onion Leek or Eros vibe from this knife? 😃

Are these what replaces the now discontinued Hawk and Eagle ultralights? Those were classics.

Even better choice. I'd like to get my hands on the #15 Boy's Knife but sans bail & chain. Really like the look of their micarta.

ForciteOh yes it's very nice! Are you a convert to slipjoints, like I have become? I have bought a few, mostly as collectables (but intend to carry the Bull Nose): Benchmade Proper 318 and 319, Civivi Rustic (I cut myself each time I handle it - so it's going to stay a safe queen), Kizer Lundquist Feist, Three Rivers Manufacturing Atlas, Zero Tolerance 0230 (odd shape, excellent construction, but wanted it as collectable, not going to carry it). The only problem with the GEC knives is their steel, which are not stain resistant and necessitate some maintenance, but that's OK on that price range...
