When I shake the knife the blade will bounce out a little bit. Is this normal for this style of slide lock? The other knives I have don't move at all when I shake it by the handle. Is there a way to tighten up the slide lock mechanism so this doesn't happen? I'm worried about leaving it in my pocket if it can poke out a little if I'm running or something.
You can read my previous updates and replies throughout the discussion board, but mine finally shipped. I have been one of the fore runners throughout the discussion board on this knife. I’ve communicated with both fellow shoppers and customer support on this item for months now. They might have given me priority because of these efforts and complaints. Hopefully everyone else who ordered this knife are receiving the same info I have been at this point, if not, please reach out to customer support to resolve your issues. If they don’t respond after 48 hours, you can reply to this message and I will try to reach out to them on everyone else’s behalf.
I am proud to announce that I have finally received shipping and tracking information on the knife. After contacting customer support, I received an email the day after with an apology from a support agent. Shortly after, I got an email with a tracking number on my knife. Our efforts have been valiant and victorious my fellow knife lovers!
The lack of communication is severely disappointing. I work in logistics and have seen that through my few orders, you're shipping these in some way from China to the US. Is it a case of the vessel is delayed? Obviously it's not an air shipment because that would inflate the cost dramatically and would be at just about any US major airport in 2-3 days. Was this on the vessel ONE Apus that lost over 1800 containers? Is it on a US Customs exam hold? The fact that you won't say a peep of what the current status is very telling of your company. I would be frantically telling my consignee's what the situation is as best I could even if there was no real status update to provide so they in turn have at least something to tell their customers. I know I haven't ordered much (9 including this order), but this will be the last that I order anything from Drop unless your customer service steps up and learns basic communication skills.
bleh_deadMy Knife finally shipped! I contacted customer support, shortly after I received tracking info on the order. I have been persistent through the discussion about this knife, so maybe they sent it to me quickly after complaining for months about this. Hopefully they will start shipping everyone else’s knives after this.
I understand Drop's business model cant guarantee times, or even speculate really, but this is getting crazy. I've got orders from 4 months ago that should ship before Christmas and I don't hold any hope at all for that.
NotVeryCashMoneyThe email I received said they would notify me if it will be delayed more that 30 days after November 27th. No excuse if they can’t ship it out more than 30 days past original delivery date when it was up for sale 6 months ago. Even with all the crap going on.
ShaquilleOatmealDrop: Hey bud sorry but your order that you reserved like 6 months ago is gonna be delayed
Everyone: Oh well do you know when they'll be shipping out?
Drop: nope, bye!
