Got my Aune in today, was expecting it Monday so it's here early.<br />First impressions are quite good. I'm comparing this with a Little Dot MKII with some top class driver tubes.<br />Soundstage isn't quite as large but I'm still burning in the stock EH6922 tube. That's the first thing I noticed after firing it up. Other solid state amps I've listened to had poor instrument separation and soundstage. This is leagues above something like the FiiO E17.<br />Bass is excellent so far, definitely rivaling the MKII in quantity but not quality. That may change with the tube getting settled and/or a different tube type.<br />Vocals are definitely less forward and clear than I'm used to but again, a tube change could affect that.<br />Really it's too early to make much critical analysis but overall this is going to do what I wanted it to do, replace a DAC and amp setup at work with a single unit that does both functions and performs up to par.<br /><br />Color me impressed.<br />Thanks Massdrop!!!
