I just use a piece of Tyvek for a ground cover.
There used to be an optional bathtub floor if you were concerned about extreme storm conditions. The more important factor is tent site choice. Pick high ground and not a shallow depression to pitch on.
I've weathered many a Sierra storm in mine.
After a dozen years, I should replace mine. The zipper is finally giving out.
I have one of these and have never looked back. I will only ever use a full tent again if the bug situation is horrendous and poisonous. It is the best thing out there for the weight, space, and price. I have used it in the snow too, fabulous. There is plenty of room for two people and all gear, in the winter it is even more spacious. You can set it up high or low depending on weather and bug situation. We use a light polycro ground tarp. Here are a couple pictures with gear to hopefully give it scale.
I have used this tent for years and am a big fan. For snowtrips, you dig down a bit and use "deadman" anchors instead of stakes for more stability. These are essentially bags you fill with snow and pack down.
The pictures are quite limited - it just looks like a tarp cover. Is there an interior? It says 4-season, so I'm assuming that there's an inner that isn't just a mesh, but a quick Google check says it's just basically a glorified tarp cover. Please confirm. Thanks
