You’ve moved on from your rubber dome keyboard and jumped into the smooth existence that is mechanical keyboards, but one of your keys keeps double tapping. It’s not your technique that’s suffering, but a phenomenon called key chattering Read More
Optical switching is cool technology, the datahands used it. I would be pretty keen for this keyboard, but it's ricey design, cheap keycaps, non-standard space, and weird case shape make it a no-go for me.
I might pick it up just to try the switches and eventually reuse them for another board, but the design is really bad...
By the way, since this is a chinese product it's cheaper to buy straight from china for $111USD http://item.jd.com/1256945.html
Save a few dollars off the purchase price, and shipping is cheaper too.
AnimalexNot sure, these aren't the only ones selling on Jingdong. If you are going to buy of JD I'd suggest finding someone who can proxy or at least translate for you.
SuperBobKingYes but you have to debounce for a certain period of time. Enough for the switch to stop vibrating. Theoretically, optical switches eliminate this delay completely.
Neat idea; I've had MX switches fail due to chatter before. And faster response is always nice...the difference is probably not noticeable, but unnoticeably faster is still better than not faster at all.
Too many other issues for me to want one of these, though.
