Not sure why this product has the 3M logo slapped on the front... Those are not 3M IBG-EMD Scotchlok forks, we only make wiring for computer applications and we don't make IC. We could've made the potting, but that's about it.
Source: 3M happens to pay my salary, I checked our industrial product master catalog for electrical and automotive aftermarket components and found nothing matching what we produce.

frsh2fourtyYes, tons and tons of it (everybody knows Scotch.) That's probably the 3M component. I'm editing the original comment. Thanks for catching it, didn't think this came with double sided PSA.

A couple questions... What is it's draw in ma? What is the sampling frequency? Does it change when the app is running?

Wouldn't this thing just slowly drain your battery?

Not really comparable. Broadcasting a constant Bluetooth signal is orders of magnitude higher than running a clock radio, alarm system, or Keep-Alive Memory. It could be negligible, but it's certainly higher than standard, acceptable battery draws.

I have a bluetooth OBD II reader that shows the voltage and several other readings on my phone for a lot less money.

I think the description was written by MD while the product website indicates it was intended for motorcycles.

HualicopterNot just for motorcycles. It is 6V, 12V or 24V capable so it works for scooters, autos/trucks and even commercial trucks with 24V starting batteries.
