Have any of the internal components or design changed since the last drop when there were many issues with the noise floor, etc?
OrganiCaliYes, thanks for asking. We have found the culprit -- the wrong capacitor was installed in the power supply, which raised its noise floor. We are checking all units to make sure that's not the case anymore.

CEntrancewhat kind of "symptoms" can we expect if there were indeed "wrong caps" in our unit?
HTvishThe noise floor became audible with certain headphones. While it's not theoretically possible to avoid all noise, DACmini is pretty darn quiet. We are doing 100% testing on the stock now, so bad units should not be showing up in the field.

CEntranceCan you back trace what batch of previous customers might be facing such issues? Is it a single incident or the whole batch was affected?
HTvishA couple of people were affected, they sent their units in and we fixed them. We are not aware of any others. We check these things thoroughly, but one batch had a couple of rotten apples. We apologize and have further improved our testing criteria. You should be fine. We are watching for this now.
