Just got mine. Feels nice and well constructed. Cover seems to indent and scratch easily, but could possibly give nice aging effects. It's flexible but stiff enough to write and draw on no problem. The elastic band is great and gives a nice way to hold a pen or pencil unlike other journals like the moleskine. The divider pocket also has a checklist. I kind of wish I got a different color as I don't really like the white side of the black and white cover, but I can live with it. Will probably end up sticking some stickers on it anyway.

Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Ciak Duo Journal and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 6/11.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 6/5.

This seems like a perfectly nice notebook, but I can't find any decent, objective reviews. Also, the size seems to be between A5 and A6. If you go on youtube, you can find a well-made overview video from the manufacturer/distributor. Can anyone link to a decent, well-written review that's not from the manufacturer?
They're cute and would probably make a great gift for that artistic, "Jekyll and Hyde" friend that you have. Availability in the states seems pretty limited which might explain the dearth of reviews. For my usual purposes, there are better notebooks out there.
Of course, I can't draw a stick figure properly, so that might influence my opinion.

I've added images of writing samples on both paper styles on the description page. The fountain pen used was a Lamy Joy 1.5 mm calligraphy fountain pen, and has a pretty wet flow. There was no bleed through and no feathering, but you can faintly see the lines from the other side of the page. Hope this helps!
