A collaboration with knifemaker Andrew Demko, the AD-15 sets a new bar for production folders. Equipped with Demko’s new Scorpion lock, a modified version of a traditional lockback, the knife is addictive to open and close, and as secure as they come. To open the knife, press the thumb stud and watch the yoke rise until it falls snugly into a deep notch in the tang. Held together by the pressure of your grip along with a strong compression spring inside the integral backspacer (similar to a nutcracker), the knife is virtually immune to failure—not to mention it works just as well for righties and lefties. On top of that, it’s made with a beastly S35VN blade and G-10 handle scales for a sure grip.

Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (pioneer of the integral frame lock, featured on the Gent), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process known as Crucible Powdered Metallurgy, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
